ROOT SHAPE: Attractive globe, with consistent uniform shape in the field.
ROOT/SKIN COLOUR: KENMORE has bronze/purple-coloured skin with white flesh.
MILDEW: KENMORE shows excellent mildew resistance, better than Magres.
DRY MATTER CONTENT: Similar to Ruta Otofte.
YIELD: KENMORE has shown itself to be the highest yielding swede in trials and the field, both fresh weight and dry weight yields some 12% higher yielding than any other swede.
USES: KENMORE is an early or late grazing swede widely used throughout the UK. It has proven itself to be a very high yielding variety with good palatability due to its sweet flavour and excellent winter hardiness, which was proven in the 1995/1996 winter when it was left in the field until April in an exposed field North of Aberdeen. KENMORE also has been used by the processing industry and has proven very successful
