‘Cool Season Active’ grasses can grow 100% more grass than traditional grass varieties during the ‘shoulder periods’ of the year.
These grasses must be continually be grazed down for specific use in New Zealand Grazing systems.
Grasses below must be grazed down to width of a mobile phone for best performance. In March for example these new grasses are doubly potent over and above ordinary grasses – keeping the cost of production down. This is the first time that grasses have been bred especially for these type of grazing system.
